| This is to keep you as a church informed about our plans and goals as a mission board. We will include a bulletin insert once a month. |
| There has been a lot of positive feedback from "Date Night." We decided to plan for "Date Night" on the first Friday night of each month, provided we get help for babysitting. The first one will be February 7. Look for details in upcoming bulletins. |
| We have received a number of responses from the inmates a the prison from the "Cookie Project". We are including these in the bulletin for you to read. Handing out the cookies and cards was the "glamorous" part of the project. Follow-up is the real work. We feel it is very important to respond to the letters we have received. Please help us with this part of the work. If a letter was addressed to you, please feel free to respond. However, if you don't feel comfortable responding (addressed to a young girl, etc.), please let someone else respond rather than ignore the letter. We are posting the letters on the bulletin board, with specific names on the outside. Feel free to take any letter that is there. If you want the one with your name, get it quickly. Please make sure you take a notice about Sunday School to include with your letter. There is a stack of them on the table under the letters. We feel this is a real opportunity to minister to these men, and we want to make use of it. |
| We spend some time brainstorming ideas for the upcoming year. One that we really want to pursue is a mission's trip, most likely to El Dorado, Arkansas. If you have any interest in going, let one of the mission board members know. We will be setting dates soon. |
