OUR HISTORY
Plainview Mennonite Church was established in Agust of 1948 by five families. They first met in an empty farmhouse but they soon moved to the Buckeye school building.
The first church building was erected in the summer of 1949 and by September they began holding services there.
Major remodeling in 1963 included the addition of restrooms, classrooms, a nursery, balcony, and a foyer.
The building was again expanded with the addition of the fellowship hall in 1976.
Today, Plainview serves as home for approximately 55 families and seeks to follow Christ as expressed by our mission statement:
To glorify God by bringing people to the knowledge of Jeus as Savior and Lord and to nurture believers through teaching of the Scriptures, workship and a caring fellowship, equipping us to serve as Spirit-led disciples of Christ.
