| 1Now these are the commandments, the
statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might
do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: 2That thou mightest fear the LORD thy
God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy
son, and thy sons son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
3Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that
ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land
that floweth with milk and honey. 4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. |
1These are the commands, decrees and laws
the LORD your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing
the Jordan to possess, 2so that you, your children and their children after them may fear
the LORD your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give
you, and so that you may enjoy long life. 3Hear, O Israel, and be careful to obey so that
it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and
honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, promised you. 4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.£ 5Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. |
1?Now this is the commandment, and these
are the statutes and judgments which the LORD your God has commanded to teach you, that
you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, 2that you may
fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you,
you and your son and your grandson, all the days of your life, and that your days may be
prolonged. 3Therefore hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe it, that it may be well
with you, and that you may multiply greatly as the LORD God of your fathers has promised
you??a land flowing with milk and honey.?£ 4?Hear, O Israel: £The LORD our God, the LORD is one! 5You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6?And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. 8You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. |
