I am sorry about not keeping this site up to date. It has been a very busy summer and Andre has been doing well so I just didn’t keep things updated. When things are going well it is hard to relay what he is doing without boring everyone. Like I was saying he has been doing really great. On July 6th we went back to KC for a scheduled appointment with the Down Syndrome Clinic. We met with 8 specialists over about 4.5 hours. They were thrilled with how well he was doing. He is in the 95th percentile on the Down Syndrome growth chart. They really didn’t change anything. It was good to hear that we are on the right track. The therapist that comes to our house is so helpful and April works so hard to get him to do the things he is suppose to do. He is a very happy baby and has been doing patti-cake. He is eating baby food and has just started to eat ground table food. He loves his brothers and sister but has a special bond with his oldest brother, Tristan.

Our family took a brief vacation to Ohio for the Burkholder reunion and Andre did well. Since then he has been throwing up some and we aren’t sure if this is a touch of the flu or if we will be heading to KC soon for another procedure.

Life is never boring at our house and the children (Tana and Tristan) are looking forward to starting school next week. Continue to pray for us as we try to be the parents that God wants us to be. Thanks for your interest in our little guy. Jon
